Professional Areas of Interest – My interests begin with the preservation or quick restoration of optimal health. I practice across the entire scope of Family Medicine, from newborn to elderly. I am a firm believer in open communication with my patients, as well as empowering them with education about health preservation or disease management. More specifically, I have a special interest in sports medicine, dermatologic procedures, weight management, cholesterol disorders, diabetes, hypertension and general pediatrics.
Personal Information – I was born in Portsmouth, VA, and moved to Overland Park, KS, at two years of age. I grew up in OP and went to high school at Saint Thomas Aquinas. I graduated from the University of Kansas and I am a huge KU sports fan.
I have been happily married since 2001. We have three children - Adrian (’03), Liam (’05) and Mabel (’09). I have many interests outside of medicine which start with spending time with my family and friends. I am passionate about all Kansas City sports (even though we never win anything). I am an avid Ultimate Frisbee player, which helps keep me in shape, and enjoy snow boarding, cooking, golfing, biking, traveling, photography and SCUBA diving.

I have been in practice in the Northland for 24 years. I love getting to know patients on a personal basis and enjoy seeing them in and around the community. I treat all the typical diseases seen in family practice. As I mature, I seem to have more of these diseases making me more relatable to you! I look forward to seeing you.
I have recently switched practices and cherish my experience there. However, I am now closer to home and could even walk to work (but never seems to happen).
Personal Information – I have been married for 29 years and have 3 children. Addison is a student at UMC. Brooke is an exceptional saxophonist. Mackenzie has a desire to be an R.N. and is at MU.
I enjoy snow skiing, jet skiing and the beaches. I also enjoy working out, movies and driving around town with 3 dogs in my truck.
